Think back to all the years you've regularly visited the dentist to ensure healthy teeth and gums. How many of those visits involved the use of fluoride to enhance your dental health? Probably almost all of them! Unfortunately, fluoride has a dark side that many people don't know about and your dentist isn't telling you about either.
Throughout the years, it has been ingrained in our brains that fluoride is essential for maintaining healthy teeth. But what if everything publicized about the supposed benefits of fluoride is false? What if you've actually been putting a toxin on your teeth and inside your body?
Here's the deal. Fluoride might sound like something that would be good for you, but in fact, it's a contaminated chemical byproduct, extracted from fertilizer during the manufacturing process. It's so bad for you that it's actually a requirement that the packaging label shows that a toxic substance lurks inside. And yet this is what they want to put on our teeth.
Another lesser-known side-effect of using fluoride is a type of tooth decay called dental fluorosis. This causes a weakening of the immune system, can cause certain cancers and gastrointestinal issues, including vomiting and diarrhea, and can even lead to birth defects. In addition, according to researchers from Harvard University, IQ scores are lower in those using fluoride regularly. Using fluoride at this point probably doesn't sound like a very smart idea.
But regular exposure to fluoride is commonplace in the western world. Although the amount of fluoride found in toothpaste is pretty minimal, consistent use of at least once daily, 365 days per year, along with exposure from municipal water sources adds up to a combined shocking exposure. In fact, China abruptly stopped adding fluoride to their water after noting an increase in dental fluorosis of approximately 550%. That's staggering!
Although the American Dental Association (ADA) would lead you to believe otherwise, fluoride is not an essential mineral for humans or animals. If you are wondering what to do after years of exposure to this toxic chemical, detoxifying your body of the fluoride accumulation can be done fairly easily.
One of the easiest ways to do this is by adding small amounts of iodine-containing foods into your diet. The iodine effectively displaces or 'kicks out' the fluoride, allowing your body to get rid of it. Of course, making sure that your liver and bowels are working properly will help eliminate more efficiently, but adding in a small amount of iodine will begin to get rid of the fluoride safely and effectively.
So, forget the fluoride! Your health will thank you for it!
